In Ketchikan go to Salmon Mall at end of pier, many shops & great prices. In Juneau & Skagway go to Alaska T - Shirt & save. I have been there 23 times. I put $ 200. dollars on ship board account ( I do not drink either) and might spend $ 100. in casino (not very lucky) and acouple of hundred in ports. I usually have at least $ 1,000. in cash plus credit cards & come home with over $ 500. & rarely use the credit card. If you do the whale watching make sure that it is one that is guranteed. That way if you do not see a whale they return your money. Alot of people like the different train excursions. Whatever you decide a truly Amazing cruise. Enjoy. Alaska is not expensive.
